Granhogen Farmstead lies in the heart of Bohuslän, on the foreland of Bokenäset which leads straight to the archipelago or via ferry to the seaside-city Lysekil. For supplies, you find a large shopping center only about 8 km away.
The setting of Granhogen is peaceful and secluded; at the cottage, only the sounds of nature can be heard. The view from your window leads to a Bronze Age burial mound, giving the farmstead its name. Apart from the newly built cottage, the farm buildings date back to 1840.
The surroundings easily reminds our guests of Swedish tales, like “Pettersson and Findus” or “Emil of Lönneberga”. Discover our farm and revel at the sight of the fjord “Byfjorden” or the lush green of the nature reserve “Svälte Kile” nearby.
Pets are welcome if you stay on our farm. Your hosts have animals on their own, as well as cattle of traditional swedish breed (“Fjäll”). These cows needs to be curried daily, and as our guest you are welcome to try. We also have very social sheep and two border-collies who watch the farms perimeter.
The cottage for your stay is classified as “immersive stay” and consist of one room with four beds plus linen, and we can provide an extra cot, if needed. It features a wood-burning stove, a stovetop, kitchenware, a sink, a microwave, a kettle, and a refrigerator. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a washing machine, in addition to a toilet, a washbasin, towels, soap, shampoo, and laundry detergent.
Outside, under a roof, we have the outdoor kitchen with an oven and freezer, and you can even sleep and rest in the open, next to the seating area.
You can use the bicycles to ride to the swimming spots at Gullmarsfjorden or Byfjorden, or to a nearby swimming lake.
We are open all year round!

From motorway E6, take the exit 96 called "Torp" and drive towards Lysekil on road 161. Continue on the 161 at the crossroad Rotviksbro and keep driving for 1,7 km - then turn right at the sign towards "Gullmarsberg" and "Naturreservat". At the first fork, take a right: If you can see a red barn you have reached Granhogen farm.
